During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jim Bailiff added an ornate chapel / recital space to his Lookout Valley home, just a 10-minute drive from downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. This new room, with its excellent acoustics and a Steinway concert grand used in Artur Rubinstein's final southern tour, provides an ideal setting for performances of art song—an intimate space where all the subtle details of the genre can shine through.
We've just come to the end of our first season of recitals at this venue and we look forward to announcing a second season, but this is currently on hold, as the venue is temporarily closed for the installation of a pipe organ.
